My daughter had an appointment at the University of Birmingham recently and asked me to drive her. So, having the morning to myself, I had a delightful opportunity to investigate Selly Manor, a medieval house relocated to the village of Bourneville for the edification of Cadbury factory workers.
I love medieval figures. It is interesting to think that in the past people liked to have human figures decorating items in their homes. Now, the home decor industry shies away from human motifs because they’re viewed as market-limiting. It’s a shame as our brains are wired to latch onto and be intrigued by human faces and body forms.
