Yesterday, I completed DUCA and my Instagram friends have shared lots of lovely support and encouragement with that experiment. I’ve also met some other artists working with the concept of repetition and grids over the past few days, and that’s been fun too.
The title of this post refers to the fact that I am a third of the way through the 100 Day Project, which I am pretty chuffed about.
Today, I shifted back to Klee’s cityscapes. I feel these are on too small a scale here. It started just as a doodle to be fair, but why should I be restricted by the size of my first figure? It is interesting how one decides the “rules” about how one should proceed at such an early stage, but I guess that’s how we take decisions as the piece develops.
Tonight Jonny Hannah has a book launch for Cardopolis at Atelier 51 in Brighton. I’d really like to go and get a copy, but the weather looks atrocious and we’ve been invited to our friends’ who I also really want to catch up with. I’m sorry Jonny. I adore your work but I have faith you will continue to produce amazing stuff and I can come fangirl another time.
